POOR CHRISTS

I am everywhere that I have ever been at any moment;

And everywhere I have ever been is a part of me;

Everyone I have ever known or seen is within me

And God is between and among those visions

While consciousness is somewhere outside them all looking at them.

The extent to which I am able to be and to see God in their midst

Is the degree to which I am able to find God within myself;

And the times that I am confused as to God’s presence there in the past

Adds to the failure of the experience of God in the present now.

Similarly, that loss of the experience of God now, this moment

Is the direct result of my immersion or my desire for immersion

In either the flesh or the world of the senses;

That is the deception of the devil

And the mark of the deceiver’s power.

Yes, the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us!

Our present then can either be

A continuation of such a passion and a cross or

A realization of the glory of the resurrection

From past incarnations in the flesh.

That is, our lives are either

Living in the throes of the passion experience or

Experiencing the vision of the resurrection;

Darkness or light;

Sadness or joy;

Pain or transcendence of same.

Life is only the varying awareness of:

The incarnation of God in our lives;

The suffering and pain at the hands of the world,

Ignorance and misunderstanding;

The living in the resurrection and triumph

Of light over darkness and death; or

The ascension of our experience

Back to the origin and the cause

Of everything and everyone.

We are poor Christs!
